## What we do

- **IoT & hardware product development**: Device architecture, PCB design, sensors, power and RF — schematics to assembled boards.
- **Firmware & embedded software**: Bare-metal, RTOS and embedded Linux. BLE, LoRa, Wi-Fi connectivity, OTA updates, drivers.
- **Web, mobile & cloud software**: Scalable web apps, mobile apps, cloud backends and dashboards that live alongside the hardware.
- **Industrial design & enclosures**: Enclosures, CMF, 3D renders and DFM — designed for manufacturing from day one.
- **Testing, verification & simulation**: Bench testing, environmental runs, bug-hunting and pre-certification reports with proposed fixes.

## Process: CAEC (four phases)

1. **Concept** — We choose the architecture of the device, the materials, plan the execution paths and design conceptual 3D renders of the product — deliberately not considering the limitations of the technologies. We may overdo beyond what’s possible here, but that’s exactly what allows us to enter the next phase.
1. **Abstract** — We refine the concept to match the technical capabilities of manufacturing, and refine it to fit your needs. This is where we spend the most time in communication with you.
1. **Exact** — We define all the materials and documentation for prototype production, produce a small batch and conclude all needed testing and bug-finding. You receive reports from our testing bench with proposed fixes and refinements.
1. **Conclusion** — We apply everything we found in the Exact phase, reproduce the new devices and deliver them as fully operating prototypes — beside the certification, mostly production-ready grade.

## What clients say

### Dave Busmer, Just Race Parts · Australia

We are one of Australia’s leading brands in aftermarket automotive gauges, and we are always looking to push the boundaries of the technology available so we can bring unique, feature-packed products to the industry.

Around nine months ago, we started a new project development journey for a new range of gauges utilising a newer range of IC technology, which we believe has some very exciting potential in the automotive space.

As we moved further into this project, we realised that we would really benefit from having someone involved who was especially familiar with this IC range, along with the top-layer language commonly used when coding for them. We were also looking for strong electrical engineering skills alongside software engineering, because what we were starting to see as possible with this new technology was beyond what we could realistically handle fully in-house. We also did not want to limit the product or compromise on what could be achieved simply because we did not have the right specialised people involved.

We found Milo here on Upwork while looking for a fairly niche set of skills, and we were genuinely surprised to find that he not only ticked the major boxes, but also brought additional skills that we initially thought would require one or two more people to cover properly.

So far, Milo has exceeded all of our expectations. His electrical engineering work on our prototype boards has been excellent, and he already has an intricate understanding of CAN communication, which is important in our industry. We also required 24V-compatible power circuitry, which he was able to achieve in a clean and well-considered way. Everyone here has been impressed with his work from the outset.

For companies of our size, this type of development work is usually handled in-house, so looking externally was a pretty big step for us. What has really stood out is that Milo feels like part of our team, not just someone we contracted for a job. That is an important factor to mention, because it makes a real difference when working on more complex product development.

The first project we entrusted Milo with was, in some ways, also a bit of an interview process. We are very happy to say that we will be continuing to use Milo’s services on a number of projects we have in the pipeline. We have found him easy to work with, able to collaborate well with our team members, and equipped with a wealth of knowledge and skills in key areas that are valuable to our company.

We would not hesitate to recommend Milo and his team for anything from small-scale development work through to full-scale, production-ready models.

It is also worth mentioning that Milo appears to offer something close to a one-stop shop for development. He and his team are able to tackle complex electronic engineering alongside complex software engineering, and he also has an industrial engineer as part of his team. This means you do not necessarily need to contract multiple different people, which can be a real benefit for tighter, cleaner project management.

Overall, if you are looking for the skills Milo has listed on his profile, we feel confident in saying you will be happy with his service and expertise. We certainly are.

### Therry Martins, HealXRlabs

Working with Milo has been an excellent experience from start to finish. We brought him in when we already had KiCad schematics and a partially completed PCB, and needed someone who could take a low-power embedded device all the way from “almost there” to fully engineered, prototyped, and documented. Milo delivered on every part of that brief.

He began by auditing our existing KiCad design, reviewing the schematic and PCB layout, and quickly identifying gaps around footprints, clearances, and power rails. He produced a clear gap-analysis, then methodically resolved the issues as he refined and finalized the board.

On the embedded firmware side, Milo brought up the MCU, verified clock and power domains, and implemented drivers for multiple sensors and a positioning/radio module. He paid careful attention to low-power operation, building sleep/wake routines and data buffering aligned to a tight power budget, and included hooks for OTA/debug support to make future maintenance easier.

Milo also handled the mechanical and enclosure design, creating a rugged 3D-printable housing (STEP/IGES) with sensible mounting/attachment points, antenna openings, and a practical battery compartment. He produced 3D-printed prototypes and iterated based on fit, durability, and ease of assembly.

For prototyping and validation, Milo:

- Produced and assembled optimized PCBs from the final Gerbers

- Flashed firmware and bench-tested each major subsystem (sensors, radios, power)

- Measured and validated overall power consumption against the design targets

He didn’t just “make it work”; he validated the design and captured the results in a way that will make scaling and manufacturing much easier.

The documentation and handover were equally strong. Milo delivered:

- A design report covering system/block diagram, architecture, schematic notes, and PCB stack-up

- Enclosure design rationale and CAD files

- Firmware architecture overview and power-budget analysis

- Full BOM, manufacturing files (Gerbers, pick-and-place), and a clear assembly and test guide

Communication throughout was proactive and transparent. Milo flagged risks early, suggested practical alternatives, and always explained trade-offs clearly. He was able to work independently while keeping us informed at the right level of detail.

In summary, Milo effectively acted as a one-person hardware product team: strong KiCad/PCB skills, solid embedded firmware, good mechanical design sense, and excellent documentation. I would strongly recommend him for any embedded/IoT device, PCB design, or prototype-to-production project, and would gladly work with him again.

### Jukka Fiskari, EX Corporation Oy · Finland

Very good collaboration. Milo delivered the requested firmware and mobile app functionality on time, communicated clearly, and was easy to work with throughout the project. Documentation and code quality were good, and I would recommend him for similar embedded and BLE projects.

### Amir Kahriman, Non Spot

Milo simply managed this project from start to finish and was focused on details at every moment. You can be sure that he will perform every task you give him in a responsible and maximally professional manner. I was positively surprised by the quality and how much effort he put into the details to turn a seemingly ordinary project into production quality.

It is simply an excellent choice if you want to get quality according to the highest industrial standards without hiring companies at huge prices. He brought much more to this project than what we initially agreed on and what was extremely noticeable was that he dedicated himself as if it was his project/product. He is always available on time and is never late and respects deadlines. I simply recommend working with him for the reason that I will also continue in the future on upcoming products where I believe Milo will be one of the main engineers in the team.

### Francesco De Val, iGaming.com Ltd

Milo has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I chose him because he clearly took the time to read the requirements carefully and had exactly the right mindset for the job, and he delivered on every front. He's highly skilled, attentive, precise, and full of helpful suggestions to improve the project, most of which we ended up implementing.

He was always responsive, met deadlines (even delivered ahead of schedule), and showed genuine commitment to helping wherever needed, which I really appreciated, especially since I needed some guidance throughout the process.

I’m very glad I found Milo. He’s not only extremely competent, but also a pleasure to work with and talk to, he makes everything easier. I’d absolutely work with him again for any future project in his area of expertise.
