Working with Diverse Montenegro, we embarked on a journey to combine technology and tradition by digitalizing a part of Old Town Bar, a historical gem in Montenegro. Our goal was to enhance the visitor experience while preserving the town’s rich heritage. Through thoughtful design and development, we delivered a comprehensive solution that included a native app, QR-based exploration, and a modernized website.

The Mobile App: A Gateway to History

We developed a native mobile application in Kotlin, designed to function both online and offline. By scanning QR codes placed on beautifully designed tables scattered around Old Town Bar, visitors gain instant access to detailed information about nearby monuments, landmarks, and historical sites.

The offline functionality ensures uninterrupted access to this treasure trove of information, allowing users to explore the town without worrying about internet connectivity. By leveraging Strapi as the app’s CMS, we provided a robust backend for managing and updating content seamlessly.

QR Code Integration: Interactive Exploration

To create a more engaging experience, we designed and implemented QR codes that act as digital gateways. Each table in the Old Town area features a unique QR code, linking visitors directly to multimedia content about the location’s history, significance, and stories. This approach not only modernizes the exploration process but also encourages curiosity and learning.

A Redesigned Website: Tradition Meets Modernity

As part of this project, we also redesigned Old Town Bar’s website to align with the digital transformation. Built using Vue.js for the frontend and Strapi for the backend, the website features a simple, blog-like structure that is both user-friendly and visually appealing. The new design captures the essence of the Old Town while ensuring a modern and responsive browsing experience.
